Grace Tang graduated with a doctorate degree in physical therapy from New York University. She worked in New York City for 7 years before relocating to North Carolina back in 2008. After working for several more years for another organization, she found herself unhappy with the politics and the profit driven mind set of the organization. She felt the patients weren't always getting the proper care needed and she herself wasn't being treated properly as an employee.

In 2010 an opportunity to take over a physical therapy clinic presented itself and she couldn't resist the chance to build a practice where patient care is the upmost importance. She also wanted to build a business where employees are treated more like family than a number. So, with the help of her husband, Jong, they took over Strive Physical Therapy & Fitness.

Grace has earned her accreditation as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Examiners in 2010. Then in 2015, she received two certifications: first as a Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT) by the Physical therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics and second as a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT). She is only one of two physical therapists in the state of North Carolina who has the CCTT certification and specializes in the treatment of temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD) and related headaches.

Grace also works with the University of North Carolina (UNC-Chapel Hill) Dental Faculty Practice, to treat patients in the Orofacial Pain Clinic. Part of her responsibilities include giving lectures to the dental school regarding physical therapy treatment of TMD. She sees patients at UNC-Orofacial Pain Clinic one day per week and is at Strive Physical Therapy & Fitness during the rest of the week. She has experience working with patients who have undergone TMJ arthroscopies and extensive jaw reconstruction surgeries. She will work with dentists, surgeons and orofacial pain specialists to provide comprehensive care.

Jong's professional background is in information technology. He has a bachelor's degree in management information system from Pennsylvania State University. He has worked as a software developer for 11 years. Jong has always lead an active lifestyle and continues to have an interest in athletic performance. He has trained in Tae Kwon Do for most of his life and was even a state champion wrestler back in high school. Jong is also an avid weight lifter and now brings his passion for sports performance to Strive Physical Therapy & Fitness.

Together, Grace and Jong, hope to build a long lasting business that will help people with their rehabilitation and personal fitness needs.
